Um Kalthom … A new collage project.

My New torn papers collage … in progress

Um Kalthom is an internationally famous Egyptian singer.

My own collage papers, as I am collage a famouse singer I made the background from musical sheets, I spray water color to get tis effect.

I love my musical sheets torns.

First step, paint the wood with white spray and use soft papersand to make it smoother…Then sketching, Finally fill the white spaces with the torn papers using white glue.

Toucan Bird Collage

This is my first collage piece.

I have made it more than three years ago, forget it and like to share it with you 🙂

This is my final first collage piece.

Making box.

STEP1
“Paper Mache”

I need to tear some pages into smaller pieces.
I prepared a bowl with white glue and water with little drops of Browan color….This step important to add old effect “vintage” to the torn papers.
Dip the papers in the mixture, squeeze off, then paste it into the box.
Let it dry.

STEP2
“Decoupage”

This step is essential to decorate the object…..You can decorate it in your own way.

I liked to add butterflies napkins….ONly napkins and white glue!! 🙂

STEP3
Turn it into ANTIQUE!!

I mixed some black and brown paints to add antique effect to the object.

Spread it around the edges of the lid and the box….Use your fingers or sponge.

Around the edge.

Add crackle effect.

STEP 4
Apply some varnish to protect the box!
